Lucien Moolenaar

Lucien is a corporate finance and private equity lawyer with blue-chip private practice and investment banking experience in London, New York and across Africa. He is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Anthem Advisory, an independent strategy and legal consulting firm based in London. He practiced corporate law at Sullivan & Cromwell and Rogers & Wells and has extensive experience advising investment banks, fund managers, corporate clients and private investors on a wide range of complex transactions in the UK, Europe and Africa. 

Lucien has also spent six years in senior leadership positions at Renaissance Capital, the emerging markets investment bank based in London where he provided strategic counsel on complex restructuring transactions involving various businesses within the Renaissance Group. Before joining Renaissance Capital, Lucien was a Director in the Investment Banking Legal Department of Merrill Lynch in London and Johannesburg. He has served on a number of company boards, risk and audit committees and management boards and has gained extensive corporate governance experience in the financial services sector, providing strategic advice across several business lines.
