Matthew is a competent and self-driven Development Finance, Financial & Investment Advisory, Business Intelligence and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional with wide-ranging experience and expertise spanning Financial Modelling & Valuation, Mergers & Acquisition, Leveraged Buyouts, Project & Structured Finance, Trade & Secured Credit Finance, Financial Due Diligence, Capital Raise, Financial Strategy & Capital Budgeting, Techno-Economic Assessment (“TEA”), Structuring & Financing of working capital, and traditional and alternative investments (Private Securities, Structured Products & Real Assets). Sector experience includes Infrastructure, Energy (Power, Oil & Gas, Renewables & Cleantechs), Agricultural Value Chain, Climate & Environmental Sustainability-linked Capital Projects, across investments products such as Private and Public equity, Structured & Project finance, Trade & Secured Credit, Corporate Debt, Mezzanine, Convertible, Quasi-equity, and Alternative instruments.

Matthew possesses strong technical background underpinned by academic excellence. He is an individual member of the Global Association of Risk Professional (“GARP”) Institute, and a certified Energy Risk Professional (“GARP-ERP”), and a SEC-Registered Financial Advisory Officer; an associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (“ACS”); a full member (“MSCI”) of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI:UK).
He is a program candidate of Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (“CAIA”); and Chartered Financial Analysts (“CFA”) Institute. He is a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Ilorin, a Master of Business Administration (MBA; Finance), as well as a Post Graduate Degree in Economics, both from Obafemi Awolowo University, (OAU), Ile-Ife.

He is a postgraduate student and research scientist of Master of Philosophy in Development Finance (M.Phil. Dev. Fin.) program at the Stellenbosch Business School (SBS), South Africa, and also a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program at the Swiss School of Business and Management(SSBM); Switzerland, with a special interest on Techno-Economic Analysis, Sustainable Energy Markets & Infrastructure Development, Structured & Secured financing of investment assets in Energy, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Natural Resources, Renewables and Cleantechs.
